Beginner woodcarving classes are held each February and October at the Chisholm Community Center (adjacent to the Montgomery Zoo), Montgomery, AL. Since 1984, over 300 people have completed these classes and added another aspect of enjoyment to their lives.

Classes are held on Tuesday nights, once a week for eight weeks of instruction (sometimes the classes are not able to meet on consecutive weeks)

The cost of the classes are $35 plus tools. The fee includes the instruction and all wood needed for the class. Tools will be on sale during the classes.

The classes are very casual, allowing the student to progress pretty much at their own pace. This also provides the student a chance to try out a carving technique or tool without a major investment.
