Ken Carter

This class will teach students how to carve a realistic human bust in basswood. The primary focus will be for the carver who wants to learn a more realistic human Bust.  This includes how to set up the size of wood you have.  Working with that wood to make a carving that has depth, design, and content.  This will give your work what we all try to achieve that WOW factor.  Project size will be about 14 inches tall.

Ken is a past president of Central Alabama Woodcarving Association.  He specializes in carving the human form and face.  He also chainsaw carves.

 

Blanks:             $35.00 each.  There will be extra wood if you wish to work on two projects.

Tools:               Regular carving tools. Either palm or full size.

Power tools:     Allowed with a dust collector.
